| Check list for the hire of a marquee
The following tips may be useful when you are considering hiring a marquee for your event. If you are unsure about any of the answers for these questions, please give us a call and we will be happy to assist.
- Confirm guest numbers.
- When would you need the marquee delivered and collected?
- Do you need staging or a dance floor?
- Are you likely to need heating?
- Consider how you want the marquee laid out.
- Do you have adequate power availability for lighting and other electrical accessories?
- Does the area where you propose to site your marquee have adequate access and ample room for erectors to work?
- If using different contractors/suppliers, stagger their arrival times to avoid confusion.
- If using caterers, do they need a separate marquee in which to work?
- Beware of confusion between metric and imperial measurements.
- Is there adequate parking for your guests?
- Make sure you have toilet facilities suitable for all your guests.
- Does your insurance policy cover you for damage or accidents?
- Inform the neighbours (if they are not invited!)
